Remo Sub Muff'l Bass 24"
Remo Sub Muff'l Bass 24", external bass drum muffling system. Enhanced low end and attack without affecting head frequency.
Product Description
Sub Muff'l Bass is Remo's external muffling system for 24" bass drum, designed for drummers who want to control overtones without sacrificing low end or attack. The system mounts externally and fits any drumhead that lacks built-in muffling.
Unlike glued-on muffle rings, Sub Muff'l uses a floating design. An outer plastic profile holds durable foam damping inserts in place, while the drumhead itself remains in full contact with the bearing edge all the way around. The result is that the head and hoop retain their natural resonance and volume, but with enhanced low-end response and increased attack. Because nothing is glued to the head, the frequency isn't affected the way it often is with traditional glued-on muffle rings.
Sub Muff'l Bass works equally well in the rehearsal space and in the studio, offering an easy way to shape your bass drum's tone without changing heads or making permanent modifications.
