The Remo Active Snare Dampening System is a professional snare dampening tool developed together with Dave Weckl. It's an adjustable, floating dampening system that gives you control over your snare drum's sustain.
Many snare drums ring more than you'd like in certain situations, and this system lets you dial the dampening in gradually rather than relying on a fixed pad or tape. You can increase or decrease the effect until the sustain feels right for the song or sound you're going for.
