The Remo Fiberskyn 9.0" is a tucked bongo drumhead built for players who like to pitch their drums very high. It delivers a natural, warm, and full-bodied sound with enhanced low and mid-range frequencies, without any lingering high-pitched overtones.
Remo's patented tucked drumhead technology is, according to the manufacturer, without equal in the industry, and has been praised by top players as the best alternative when replacing rawhide natural drumheads on congas, bongos, and djembes. The tucked construction lets you tune high while keeping a full, controlled tone rather than a thin one.
Sizing and Compatibility
Tucked Bongo drumheads are available in three sizes and fit full-size model bongo drums from most major manufacturers. Remo identifies a "regular" full-size bongo as the large drum (hembra) at 8 1/2", 8 5/8", or 9", and the small drum (macho) at 7" or 7 1/4". This specific head is the 9.0" size, intended for the hembra drum in a full-size set.
