Product Description
The Remo Emperor Suede 14" is a two-ply drumhead made from two free-floating, proprietary processed plies of 7.5-mil Mylar® film. That construction gives you a consistently warm, open tone along with noticeably more durability than a single-ply head – handy if you play hard or just want fewer head changes.
The Suede coating gives a matte, diffused finish that softens the attack compared to a clear or white head, rounding off the tone rather than making it bright and cutting. It works well as a batter head on snare or toms when you want the classic open Emperor voice with a bit more warmth and control in the stroke.
A good pick if you already like the Emperor series but want a softer, warmer character – less suited if you're chasing a bright, cutting attack.
