The Remo Emperor Bass Coated 36" is a coated bass drum head built with two free-floating plies of 7-mil Mylar® film. This construction makes it warmer and more durable than the Clear Emperor®, while still delivering a consistent, open tone.
The double-ply Mylar build naturally controls overtones, giving a steady, dependable sound that has made it popular among Studio, Pop, R&B and Rock drummers who want a full but controlled low end. The coating adds a touch of warmth and a slightly softer attack compared to a clear head.
