16" Remo Emperor - Coated
Coated Emperor head in two 7-mil Mylar plies. Warmer and more durable than Clear, with open warm tone. Popular in studio, pop, R&B and rock.
Product Description
The Remo Emperor Bass Coated 16" is a coated bass drum head built from two free-floating plies of 7-mil Mylar film. This construction makes it warmer and more durable than the Clear Emperor, delivering consistent, open, warm tones.
The two-ply build naturally controls overtones for a thick, focused sound, which is why this head is a favorite among today's studio, pop, R&B and rock drummers. The coated surface adds extra warmth to the attack compared to the Clear version, while the added thickness makes the head more durable under heavy playing.
