Product Description
The Controlled Sound Clear Top Black Dot is a 24″ bass drum head from Remo, built with a single 1-ply 10-mil Clear film and a 5-mil Top Black Dot on top. The construction delivers focused midrange tones with a well-defined attack and good projection, while the reinforced center adds extra durability.
The outer area of the head, outside the Black Dot, provides most of the tone and sensitivity in the attack. The center Black Dot, where the beater typically strikes, adds durability and helps control overtones, keeping the sound focused rather than washing out. The result is a head with articulate attack and solid projection without becoming uncontrolled or overly bright.
Remo makes the Controlled Sound Clear Top Black Dot in sizes from 6″ to 40″, making the construction available across most drum types that use this style of head. This listing is the 24″ size, intended for bass drum.
