The Bahia Buffalo Drum is a frame drum with a low-frequency bass tone found in many traditional drums from Africa, Brazil and the indigenous cultures of the Americas. It's a great fit for recreational, educational and wellness applications where a simple, resonant drum makes a real difference.

It's built with Remo's patented Acousticon® drum shell and a vinyl Bahia Bass fixed pre-tuned drumhead. Together they give the drum excellent projection and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals, producing the same tonal characteristics found in traditional wood shells - without the upkeep a wood shell demands.

A rope handle and mallet come with the drum, so it's ready to play right out of the box. Because the head is a fixed, pre-tuned vinyl head, the drum maintains its pitch while being played in virtually any weather environment, indoors or out.
