The Promark FireGrain Rebound 7A is a hickory drumstick heat-treated for greater durability without losing its natural weight and balance. The heat treatment hardens the hickory and gives a more solid sound with clearer attack, while the feel stays the same as an untreated stick. Its long, tapering neck and turned wood Acorn tip make it well suited to dynamic playing with plenty of rebound.

Forward vs. Rebound Balance

Promark's Select Balance concept is built around two base models. Forward Balance has a shorter, thicker neck with the weight shifted forward, giving more power and durability. Rebound Balance, which this 7A Firegrain belongs to, instead has a longer, thinner tapering neck with the balance point shifted back. The result is extra rebound and a lighter feel, without the unwanted vibration that harder hickory can otherwise cause.

Manufacturing and sustainability

Promark owns its own sawmill, which lets them sort out the best sections of timber right at the sawmill stage, ensuring consistent, high quality throughout production. The company plants five new trees for every tree it cuts down.
