Rebound 7A ActiveGrip Clear is a hickory drumstick from Promark's Select Balance line, treated with ActiveGrip – a coating activated by heat and hand sweat. The warmer and sweatier your hands get, the better your grip becomes, without affecting feel the way gloves or grip tape can.

Many drummers struggle with grip during long sets or when nerves and stage lights bring on the sweat. ActiveGrip solves this with a thin layer that stays passive until you need it most – like the last set of a gig. The result is a relaxed, secure grip all night, without the stick feeling sticky or unnatural to begin with.

Rebound Balance – built for dynamic playing

This model belongs to the Rebound Balance (RB) family, featuring a long, tapered 3" neck that delivers extra rebound and bounce, making it especially suited to dynamic playing with quick, controlled movements. This sets it apart from the Forward Balance (FB) models, which have a shorter 2.25" neck and a more front-heavy balance for extra power and durability.

The stick features a wood Acorn tip, a 0.535" diameter, and an overall length of 16".

Weight and pitch matching

The Select Balance line is built to tight tolerances: weight difference between the two sticks in a pair never exceeds 1.5 grams, and pitch difference is held within 6 Hz – roughly a quarter tone step. Good pitch matching is essential for even-sounding rolls, and every pair is matched to these standards.

Part of a larger family

ActiveGrip Clear is also available in the rest of the Select Balance line: Forward and Rebound in 7A, 5A and 5B, plus the Classic series in 7A, 5A, 5B and 2B.

Sustainability

Promark owns its own sawmill and controls the entire production process, from timber to finished stick. Through its Plant Preserv 5-1 program, five new trees are planted for every tree felled.
