The ProMark Rebound 7A Acorn is a pair of hickory drumsticks with a wood Acorn tip, built to ProMark's Select Balance concept. The long, tapered neck gives a light playing feel with extra rebound, while pitch- and weight-matching between the two sticks in the pair keeps rolls even.

The stick measures 16" in length with a .535" diameter, corresponding to the standard 7A size. The neck is 3" long, which is the defining feature of the Rebound models compared to ProMark's Forward models.

The Select Balance Concept

Select Balance comes in two base models: Rebound Balance and Forward Balance. Rebound Balance, which this stick belongs to, has a longer, thinner neck with the weight balance shifted toward the back. This gives extra rebound and a lighter playing feel, well suited to dynamic playing. Forward Balance instead has a shorter (2.25") and thicker neck with the weight shifted forward, for more power and durability.

Beyond the balance model, the stick is available with two tip shapes: Teardrop and Acorn, both in wood. The Acorn tip gives a slightly slimmer neck than the equivalent Teardrop model. Matched Pairs

Each pair is pitch-matched to a market-leading tolerance of max 6 Hz, roughly a quarter tone step – good pitch matching is essential for even-sounding rolls. Pairs are also weight-matched to a tolerance of max 1.5 grams between the two sticks.

Manufacturing and Environment

ProMark runs its own sawmill and controls the entire production chain, from sawmill to finished product. The company plants five new trees for every tree cut down.
