ProMark Rebound 5B ActiveGrip - Clear

Product Description

Rebound 5B ActiveGrip Clear is a hickory drumstick from ProMark with a coating that activates from heat and hand sweat. The more you sweat, the better your grip gets. The stick has a long, tapered neck that gives extra rebound, suited for dynamic playing.

Many drummers find their grip weakens when hands get warm and sweaty, which can limit technique and, at worst, cause the stick to slip out of the hand. ActiveGrip solves that without feeling like gloves, grip tape or rubberized grips. The coating is applied in a thin layer and doesn't affect feel under normal conditions. Instead it activates exactly when you need it most, so you can keep a relaxed grip and technique even in the sweatiest last set of the gig.

Rebound Balance

This model is built to the Rebound Balance concept: a long (3") tapered neck gives extra rebound, well suited to dynamic playing. That sets it apart from the Forward Balance models, which have a shorter neck (2.25") and a more front-heavy balance for extra power and durability.

Construction and quality

The stick has a wood acorn tip, 16" length and .595" diameter. ProMark's Select Balance series is built to tight tolerances: weight-matching within a pair never exceeds 1.5 grams, and pitch-matching holds a tolerance of max 6 Hz, roughly a quarter tone. Good pitch-matching is essential for even-sounding rolls. ActiveGrip Clear is available across the Select Balance family in Rebound and Forward, in 7A, 5A, 5B as well as Classic 7A, 5A, 5B and 2B.

Durability

ProMark owns its own sawmill and controls the entire manufacturing chain, from sawmill to finished product. Through Plant Preserv 5-1, they plant 5 new trees for every tree harvested.
