ProMark 5A Rebound Long hickory acorn wood

Product Description

Rebound 5A Long Acorn tip is a pitch-matched and weight-matched pair of hickory drumsticks from Promark Select Balance. They correspond to size 5A but are half an inch longer, with a long tapered neck for extra rebound.

Construction

The sticks are 16.5 long with a diameter of 0.565 and have a 3 long neck. The tip is a wood tip of the Acorn model. The hickory comes from Promark's own sawmill, with control through the whole process from sawmill to finished product.

Feel

The long, thin neck shifts the balance point further back in the stick, giving extra rebound and a lighter playing feel. This suits dynamic playing where the movement in the hand needs to go quickly and easily back.

Matching

The pairs are pitch-matched with a tolerance of max 6hz, which corresponds to about 0.25 of a tone step in difference between the sticks. They are also weight-matched with a tolerance of max 1.5 grams, so both sticks in the pair feel and sound alike.
