ProMark Rebound 5A ActiveGrip - Clear

Product Description

The Rebound 5A ActiveGrip Clear from ProMark is a pair of hickory drumsticks featuring ProMark's ActiveGrip coating, which provides a secure grip when your hands get warm and sweaty. The stick has a long, tapered neck for extra rebound, making it well suited to dynamic playing.

Grip that works when you need it most

ActiveGrip is a technology activated by heat and hand sweat. The more you sweat, the better your grip becomes. The coating is applied in a thin layer and doesn't affect your playing feel the way gloves, grip tape, or rubberized grips can. Instead, it activates exactly when you need it most, letting you keep a relaxed grip and technique even in the last set of a gig, once the stage lights have brought on the last drops of sweat.

Construction and playing feel

The stick is made from hickory and measures 16" (406 mm) in length with a .565" (14.4 mm) diameter. The neck is 3" (76 mm) long and tapered, giving the extra rebound that defines the Rebound Balance model and makes it especially suited to dynamic playing. The tip is a wood acorn tip. ActiveGrip Clear is available across the Select Balance family as Rebound and Forward Balance, in sizes 7A, 5A, and 5B, as well as in the Classic series in 7A, 5A, 5B, and 2B.

Quality and matching

ProMark Select Balance sticks are manufactured to the industry's highest standards: weight matching between the two sticks in a pair never exceeds 1.5 grams, and pitch matching has a tolerance of max 6 Hz, roughly a quarter tone step. Good pitch matching is essential for even-sounding rolls. ProMark operates its own sawmill and controls the entire production chain, and applies its Plant Preserv 5-1 program. Planting five new trees for every tree felled.
