The Tama Star HTW109W is a double tom stand built for players who want precise control over where their toms sit. Each tom mounts via a J-shaped arm with an Omniball joint that rotates almost all the way around, and the two arm mounts are themselves rotatable – so you can set the toms tight together or spread wide apart, whatever suits your playing.

Adjustability, stability and sound

The Star Hardware line is built around three ideas: adjustability, stability and sound. The HTW109W takes this further with new adjustment options that make it easier to dial in the right position for both toms, whether you're adding to a standard kit or building a larger multi-tom setup.

Construction

The tube couplings, Glide-Tite Grip Joint, use nylon bushings for smooth adjustment, but the grip itself is metal-to-metal for maximum stability once locked in place. The tubing is also internally dampened (True-Sound Isolation Mute) so the stand's own resonance and vibration don't interfere with the sound of whatever cymbal, tom or snare is mounted on it.
