ProMark SPYR - Natural
SPYR xylophone mallet with rattan handle and Hytrel® tip, hardness 5, giving a lighter, brighter tone than the SU5R. Natural finish.
Product Description
The SPYR Mallet Xylophone SU6R features a rattan handle and a Hytrel® tip with a hardness of 5. Lighter and brighter than the SU5R, it's a great general purpose option for xylophone.
The mallet is part of the SPYR series, a collaboration with world-renowned percussionists, designers and educators Kevin Shah and Tony Nunez. Designed with educators in mind, SPYR covers the complete spectrum of sounds needed across ensembles and performances, so you don't need multiple mallet lines to outfit your different groups.
The SU6R works well for general xylophone playing, including pieces like Colas Breugnon by Kabalevsky, and suits indoor and outdoor marching as well as concert performance.
