ProMark Matt Strauss Staccato

Product Description

The Matt Strauss Staccato (MS2N) is Matthew Strauss's own signature concert drumstick, designed together with the Houston Symphony percussionist for staccato-style concert playing. A short front taper combined with a rear taper creates a forward balanced feel, propelling the stick's momentum even at the softest dynamics. The small injection-molded nylon disc tip delivers a bright tone with rhythmic clarity.

The stick is made of high-quality American Persimmon, a wood favored in concert percussion for its strength, weight, and density. The combination of the short front taper and rear taper gives the stick a forward-balanced feel, helping the player maintain momentum across the full dynamic range the repertoire demands, from the softest passages to the loudest.

The small injection-molded nylon disc tip creates a bright tone and rhythmic clarity, allowing for an articulate sound at all dynamic ranges. Suited to the wide range of playing situations and repertoire demands a concert percussionist faces.
