ProMark FireGrain Claus Hessler Signature ActiveGrip - Clear

Product Description

The FireGrain Claus Hessler Signature is ProMark's first stick to combine the durability of FireGrain with the heat-activated ActiveGrip coating. The signature model was developed by drum educator Claus Hessler based on the Rebound 5A Long, with a slightly longer neck for extra rebound and control.

The stick is made from hickory and treated with ProMark's FireGrain process, a heat-tempered, flame-hardened process that transforms ordinary hickory into an extremely dense and durable stick without changing its weight, balance, or adding unwanted vibration. The butt end carries ActiveGrip (Clear), a coating that activates from the heat and moisture of your hands, giving a relaxed grip exactly when you need it most, for example during the last set under hot stage lights.

The shape follows the Rebound design: a long, tapered neck that shifts weight back toward the grip. This makes the stick easier to control, gives better rebound and faster response with good dynamic control. The tip is a wood acorn tip.

Matching and durability

Like all ProMark sticks, each pair goes through the ProMatch process: kiln-dried dowels are sorted by weight, shaped in Precision Cut, and then matched to perfection in both weight and pitch. ProMark also runs Play, Plant and Preserve, a reforestation program.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a reliable signature stick with extra control and a grip that holds up through long, sweaty gigs.
