ProMark BYOS Signature FireGrain Round Tip

Product Description

The BYOS Signature FireGrain Round Tip is ProMark's drumstick for traditional marching, built to handle the wear of stick tricks and long performances. The heat-tempered FireGrain treatment turns ordinary hickory into an extremely durable stick without changing its weight or balance. A rubber ring at the butt end gives you better grip and control when spinning and tossing the sticks in show style tricks.

Construction and Material

The sticks are made of hickory and lacquered with the FireGrain treatment, a heat-tempered process that hardens the wood using flame. The result is a stick that lasts longer without feeling heavier or unbalanced, and without the unwanted vibrations that can otherwise affect feel. The tip is a large, round wood tip that gives a full, clear tone even during hard marching play.

Matching and Manufacturing

Every ProMark stick is sorted and matched through several production steps. The kiln-dried dowels are first sorted by weight, shaped in what ProMark calls Precision Cut, then sorted by weight again before finally being matched by pitch. With ProMatch you get pairs matched to perfection in both weight and pitch. ProMark also runs the Play, Plant and Preserve reforestation program.

Who It's For

A good choice if you play traditional marching, indoor or outdoor, and want a well-balanced stick that also works for stick tricks.
