Product Description
The Prodipe DR4 is a complete drum microphone set developed by Claude Salmièri, designed for acoustic setups in the studio and on backline. The set includes a bass drum microphone, a versatile dynamic mic for toms and snare, and two condenser microphones for overheads, plus a hardcase for storage and transport.

Bass drum microphone (DRM-KD)
The DRM-KD is a dynamic microphone with super-cardioid directivity and a frequency response of 30 Hz–15 kHz. Sensitivity is -50 dB ±3 dB. It reproduces the full sound of the bass drum, leaving you free to equalise according to musical style and arrangement, rather than compensating for an artificially deep-sounding mic.
Tom/snare microphone (DRM-C)
The DRM-C is a dynamic microphone with cardioid directivity and a frequency response of 50 Hz–15 kHz, sensitivity -49 dB ±3 dB. It's versatile enough for toms and snare as well as other percussion instruments such as congas and bongos.
Overhead microphones (2 x DUO-A1)
The two DUO-A1 are static condenser microphones with a 22 mm capsule and cardioid directivity, particularly effective as overheads for capturing the high frequencies of cymbals and giving the kit good spatialisation. Frequency response is 30 Hz–20 kHz and sensitivity -38 dB ±2 dB. A built-in low-cut filter at 100 Hz with 12 dB/octave attenuation removes unwanted low frequencies. Maximum SPL is 134 dB (at 1 kHz, ≤1% T.H.D.), signal-to-noise ratio is 74 dB, and the mics require 48V DC phantom power. For best results as overheads, a stereo configuration such as the XY technique is recommended, for a balanced and natural sound image of the whole kit.
