The Meinl Practice Kneepad MKPP-4 is a 4" practice pad that straps onto the thigh with an adjustable band. The rubber surface offers good playing feel and keeps volume low, while accents still come through clearly.
Despite the name, the pad isn't meant to sit on the knee itself – it's worn strapped to the thigh, held firmly in place so it won't slip while you play. That makes it easy to bring along and use wherever you want to practice: on the train, during a break at work, or in front of the TV at home. The rubber surface is quiet enough not to disturb people nearby, but the rebound and sound are still enough to hear the difference between soft and hard strokes – useful for working on dynamics and control without needing a full kit or a stand-mounted practice pad.
