Post-Rock Grooves
MIDI pack from Toontrack, close to 400 grooves by Arnar Gíslason. From subtle to explosive post-rock drumming.
Product Description
Post-Rock Grooves is a drum MIDI pack from Toontrack featuring close to 400 individually played files, performed by Icelandic drummer Arnar Gíslason. The material is built around post-rock's sense of dynamics, from the most stripped-down grooves to violent crescendos, and is categorized into build-up, breakdown and fills sections for easy use in your own track.
A post-rock song is all about dynamics, about starting from an open soundscape and adding layer by layer until the track explodes into a violent crescendo. Arnar Gíslason started with the most stripped down groove imaginable and let each variation take its own natural course towards an absolute peak, from the most subtle, nuanced patterns to some of the most energetic and creative drum beats ever recorded. This collection of off-kilter rhythmic ideas puts a new, interesting spin on your next track.
Content and compatibility
The pack works with EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3, and is optimized for a kit of 1 kick, 1 snare, 1 tom, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal. Material is recorded in straight and/or swing 3/4, 4/4 and 6/8. Please note that this MIDI is not included in the Post-Rock EZX and is sold as a separate product.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want to build tracks with a clear dynamic arc, from subtle to explosive, without programming every transition yourself.
