Vic Firth SPE2 Peter Erskine Ride Stick
Product Description
Vic Firth's signature stick for Peter Erskine, the "Ride Stick" SPE2, is designed to bring out more nuance and response from your ride cymbal. A long taper gives a back-heavy feel with extra flex and faster response, while the shaft has been beefed up for added power.
The long taper produces a back-heavy feel with more flex and faster response than a shorter taper would give you – useful when you want to play nuanced cymbal patterns without losing control. The small, tear drop-shaped wood tip delivers a light, clearly defined sound rather than a big, dark tone, giving you crisp stick definition when playing rides. At the same time, the shaft itself has been beefed up, so you get extra power when you need to dig in without the stick losing its sensitive tip response.
Construction
The stick is made from hickory with a lacquer surface coating, giving a good grip and long-lasting durability.
Who It's For
The Ride Stick SPE2 suits drummers who want better control and nuance in their cymbal work – especially on the ride – while still being able to dig in when the music calls for more power.
