Product Description
The Session Studio Select is Pearl's 14x6.5" snare drum, built for studio-ready tone with tonal warmth and controlled punch. The shell blends birch and African mahogany for a sound that's already balanced between clarity and warmth.
The shell is a thin, 6-ply, 5.4mm EvenPly-Six combination of Masters-grade Birch and African Mahogany, the same shell blend that has made the Session Series an artist favorite in the studio for over a quarter century. The outer 60-degree bearing edge delivers a controlled punch with pre-EQ'd clarity and tonal warmth.
The hoops are 2.3mm Triple-Flanged SuperHoop II, and the drum sits in Pearl's OptiMount Suspension System, letting the shell resonate freely. The strainer is an SR017 with an S022N Snare Wire, and the drum ships with Remo Drum Heads.
