Product Description

The Pearl President Series Deluxe is a 14x5.5" snare drum built on Pearl's original wood snare drum format, with a Lauan shell and a traditionally full, controlled tone. The Desert Ripple (#768) finish gives it a distinctive, modern-classic look.

• 6-ply (7.5mm) Lauan shell
• Eight classic Pearl "Battleship" lugs
• Adjustable internal tone muffler
• 2.3mm Triple-Flanged SuperHoop II hoops
• Classic Pearl die-cut script badge

Construction and Tone

The shell is built from 6 plies of Lauan (7.5mm) with rounded 45-degree bearing edges, capturing the same format Pearl used in its earliest wood drums. This gives the drum a traditionally full and controlled tone. The eight dual "Battleship" lugs and the adjustable internal muffler let you dial in the sound, from open and resonant to more controlled.

Details and Finish

The drum uses 2.3mm Triple-Flanged SuperHoop II hoops for stable tuning and clear attack. The die-cut Pearl script badge and the Desert Ripple (#768) finish give the drum an instantly recognizable, modern-classic look. It comes standard with Remo UK heads and a smooth SR017 strainer.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a snare drum with the character of Pearl's original wood format, paired with dependable, modern hardware details.
