Product Description
The Pearl Modern Utility 12x7" is an all-maple snare drum with a 6-ply / 5mm SST shell, built for a straightforward, versatile sound that works across musical settings. CL Bridge Lugs and a smooth SR700 strainer round out a stable, dependable drum.
Construction
The shell is built from 6 plies of all maple, 5mm thick (SST construction), giving the drum a focused, full tone. CL Bridge Lugs help keep tuning stable and support open shell resonance.
Strainer
The SR700 strainer operates smoothly and applies even pressure to the snare wires, making it easy to switch quickly between snares on and off.
Finish and series
This model ships in Matte Natural, a natural, matte-lacquered finish that shows off the maple grain. The same finishes (#224 Matte Natural and #227 Satin Black) are available across all five models in the Modern Utility series: 12x7 (MUS1270M), 13x5 (MUS1350M), 14x5.5 (MUS1455M), 14x6.5 (MUS1465M) and 14x8 (MUS1480M).
