The Pearl DC1465S/C is Dennis Chambers' signature snare drum in 14"x6.5", built in 4 ply maple with matte black finish. It is an extremely versatile snare drum with wide tuning possibilities.
Construction
The shell is built in 4 ply maple and combined with cast hoops of the Pearl MasterCast type, giving a stable base for tuning. The batter hoop has 10 tension rods and the resonant hoop has 8, mounted in STL-100 lugs with tension rods in stainless steel, SST-5047.
Strainer
The SR-300 Philharmonic Strainer has 3 individually adjustable snare wires with 6 strands each. This makes it possible to fine tune the response of the snare wires to your own liking.
