Product Description
A 7" rope tuned djembe from Pearl with a patented, seamless synthetic shell and a fitted simulated skin head. Works well as a solo instrument or as part of a larger percussion ensemble or drum circle.
The shell is molded from a seamless synthetic material (patented) and comes complete with a fitted simulated skin head that mimics traditional djembe hide. No loose head to tune or replace. The drum is tuned the traditional way, with rope (rope tuned), just like an acoustic wood-shell djembe, but without the moisture sensitivity and cracking issues real skin and wood shells can develop.
This model belongs to Pearl's Rope Tuned Djembe series, available in four sizes: 7", 10", 12" and 14". The series comes in two finishes: Zebra Grass (#698) and Molten Scarlet (#699).
A portion of the sale of each djembe is shared with The Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP), an organization working to include people with intellectual and developmental disabilities alongside their typical peers in all aspects of everyday life.
