Pearl Kapur/Fiberglass Hybrid Exotic 14"x6.5"
Pearl 14x6.5" Hybrid Exotic snare, Kapur/Fiberglass shell with SR1000 Glide-Lock strainer.
Product Description
The Hybrid Exotic snare drum from Pearl is built in a 14x6.5" size with a Kapur/Fiberglass hybrid shell. It's engineered to hold its tuning under demanding play, thanks to Pearl's dedicated strainer and tension hardware.
The shell combines Kapur, an exotic hardwood, with fiberglass in a hybrid construction that shapes the drum's character. What really sets the Hybrid Exotic series apart is the tuning and strainer hardware.
Strainer
The drum features Pearl's SR1000 Glide-Lock Strainer. Its locking throw-off lever and tension knob assure worry-free, slip-free performance, keeping the snare wires firmly in place during play.
Tuning under high-impact play
To maintain even tuning tension across the batter head, the Hybrid Exotic series uses Pearl's Spin-Tight tension rods. This creates a tension rod-within-a-tension rod, allowing the rod to expand and lock into place within the swivel nut. Tuning is controlled with a special K180 drum key, giving reliable control even under high-impact play.
