Pearl Rope Tuned Djembe 14" - Zebra Grass

Product Description

The PBJVR14 is a 14" Rope Tuned Djembe from Pearl with a patented seamless synthetic shell in the Zebra Grass finish. The synthetic shell gives a consistent, stable tone regardless of climate or humidity, unlike a traditional wood shell, and the drum produces djembes' classic wide range of tones for both solo play and use in a larger percussion ensemble or drum circle.

The drum comes with a simulated skin head fitted and tuned with traditional rope tuning, letting you fine-tune the tone just as on a classic wood djembe. Both the simulated head and the rope tuning system are included, pre-fitted on the drum.

The Series

Pearl's Rope Tuned Djembe series includes four sizes: 7", 10", 12" and 14". The seamless synthetic shells are available in two finishes, #698 Zebra Grass and #699 Molten Scarlet, both with a simulated skin head.

Who It's For

A great way into djembe playing if you want a drum that holds up in practice sessions, rehearsal rooms and on stage without being as sensitive to temperature and humidity as a wood djembe.

A portion of the sale of each djembe is shared with The Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP), an organization whose primary objective is to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their typical peers in all aspects of everyday life.
