PDP Concept Maple Tom, 8x10''

Product Description

An 8x10" rack tom from PDP's Concept Maple series, built with a 7-ply European maple shell. Designed by DW in California, it brings boutique-level hardware and construction to a more accessible price point, with stable tuning and long sustain right out of the box.

• 7-ply European maple shell
• DW's patented Suspension Tom Mount (STM)
• True Pitch tension rods with 20% more threads
• Retro-inspired dual-turret lugs
• Factory-fitted Remo heads

Construction and Tone

The 7-ply European maple shell delivers a warm, full-bodied tone with clear attack. DW's patented Suspension Tom Mount system (STM) reduces tension against the shell compared to traditional mounting, letting the drum resonate more freely, which DW states increases sustain.

Tuning and Hardware

True Pitch tension rods feature 20% more threads than standard rods, giving finer control when tuning and helping the drum hold its tuning over time. The retro-inspired dual-turret lugs give the Concept series its distinctive vintage look. Each drum ships fitted with Remo heads, so it's ready to play straight out of the box.
