PDP Concept Maple Tom, 7x8''

Product Description

The PDP Concept Maple is a 7x8" mounted tom built with a 7-ply European maple shell, designed by DW in California. It features DW's patented Suspension Tom Mount system, True Pitch tension rods and Remo drum heads fitted from the factory, so it's ready to play right out of the box.

• 7-ply European maple shell for a full, open tone
• DW's Suspension Tom Mount (STM) reduces tension on the shell and increases sustain
• True Pitch tension rods with 20% more threads for enhanced tuning control
• Retro-inspired dual-turret lugs
• Fitted with Remo heads

Construction and Sound

The European maple shell gives the Concept Maple series a warm, full tone that suits a wide range of musical styles. DW's Suspension Tom Mount system hangs the tom in a way that reduces tension on the shell compared to traditional shell-mounted hardware, letting the drum resonate more freely for increased sustain.

Tuning

True Pitch tension rods have 20% more threads than standard tension rods, giving finer control when tuning the head precisely. Combined with the retro-inspired dual-turret lugs, the drum offers both a distinctive look and reliable tuning stability.

Who It's For

The Concept Maple series is built for drummers who want to build a custom kit of add-on toms and bass drums to match their playing style, with boutique-inspired looks and DW-developed hardware at a more accessible price point.
