The Concept Maple tom from PDP is a 7x8" tom built with a 7-ply European Maple shell, designed by DW in California. It pairs DW's Suspension Tom Mount with upgraded tension rods to deliver an open sound with plenty of sustain right out of the box.

Shell and Tone

The shell is built from 7 plies of European Maple, a material that gives a warm, full fundamental tone. The tom uses DW's patented Suspension Tom Mount (STM), a floating mounting system that reduces tension on the shell and, in turn, increases sustain compared to a traditionally mounted tom.

Tuning and Hardware

The tension rods are DW's True Pitch design, with 20% more threads than conventional rods for finer control at every turn, making it easier to find and hold your tuning. The lugs use a retro-inspired dual-turret design that also adds to the drum's look.

Heads

The tom ships fitted with Remo heads, so it's ready to play straight out of the box without swapping heads yourself.
