PDP Concept Maple Tom, 7x8''
7x8" Concept Maple rack tom by PDP with a 7-ply European Maple shell for an open, sustain-rich tone.
Product Description
The PDP Concept Maple is a 7x8" rack tom with a European Maple shell, designed by DW in California. It delivers an open tone with increased sustain and comes fitted with Remo heads, ready to play right out of the box.
The shell is built from 7 plies of European Maple, giving the tom a warm, full fundamental tone. It's fitted with DW's patented Suspension Tom Mount system (STM), which reduces tension on the shell and increases sustain compared to traditional fixed mounting.
Tuning and hardware
True Pitch tension rods feature 20% more threads than standard rods, giving finer control when tuning. The lugs are retro-inspired dual-turret lugs, a design associated with boutique-style drum tone.
Heads
Each tom ships fitted with Remo drum heads, so it's ready to play without needing to buy heads separately.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want to build a custom kit in the Concept Maple line, or add a rack tom that matches the boutique character of an existing set.
