Construction and feel

The shell is built from 7 plies of European maple, matching the material used in the hoops. This gives a warm, full fundamental tone reminiscent of DW's own drums. Unsurprising, since Concept Series was designed by DW but built to be more accessible. The dual-turret lugs and low-mass die-cast claw hooks help keep the resonance clean and controlled, without extra noise from the hardware itself.

Tuning that holds
