PDP Concept Maple 18"x22" - Charcoal Burst Lacquer

Product Description

The PDP Concept Maple is an 18x22" bass drum with a 7-ply European maple shell and hoops, designed by DW in California. It brings boutique-inspired looks and professional-level hardware to the Concept Series, and is a great choice whether you're building a full custom kit or adding a matching bass drum to your existing toms.

• 7-ply European maple shell and hoops
• DW True Pitch tension rods for stable, even tuning
• Remo drum heads
• Die-cast, low-mass claw hooks
• Dual-turret lugs

Construction and Sound

The shell is built from 7 plies of European maple, matched by maple hoops, giving a warm, cohesive tone with plenty of low end. The die-cast, low-mass claw hooks are designed to preserve shell resonance rather than choke it, while DW's True Pitch tension rods make it easier to find and hold your tuning. The dual-turret lugs are part of the series' signature look and contribute to its open, free-ringing character.

DW-Designed Hardware

PDP Concept Series drums are designed by DW and share several of the same engineering solutions found on DW's own kits, at a more accessible price point. Heads are fitted from Remo, one of the most established names in drumheads.

Who It's For

A bass drum for players building or expanding a maple kit who want dependable, professional-grade hardware, whether that means a full custom build or a single bass drum to match an existing setup.
