PDP Concept Maple Bass Drum, 16x20''
16x20" PDP Concept Maple bass drum with European Maple shell, designed by DW for rich, professional tone.
Product Description
The PDP Concept Maple is a 16x20" bass drum with a 7-ply European maple shell, designed by DW in California. It pairs a warm, full sound with professional-grade hardware, making it a strong choice for building or completing a custom kit.
The shell is built from 7 plies of European maple, matched by European maple hoops, giving the drum a cohesive, resonant tone from top to bottom. It comes fitted with world-renowned Remo drum heads, delivering a reliable, consistent foundation right out of the box.
Hardware is drawn straight from DW's own catalog. True Pitch tension rods make tuning smooth and precise, while dual-turret lugs support the shell's resonance without adding unnecessary mass. The bass drum is fitted with die-cast, low-mass claw hooks that hold the hoops securely without weighing down the shell's tone.
Construction
The PDP Concept Series is designed to bring DW's signature quality details to a more accessible price point, with professional-level features usually found on far more expensive drums.
Who It's For
A great pick if you're building your own custom kit or completing an existing setup with a bass drum that performs equally well in the studio and on stage.
