PDP Concept Classic Tom, 8x12''

Product Description

The PDP Concept Classic is an 8x12" mounted tom that combines modern build quality with vintage aesthetics. The shell is built from European Maple with matching counter hoops in the same material, giving punchy attack and a warm, versatile tone that works across most musical styles.

• European Maple shell and counter hoops (6-ply)
• DW's Suspension Tom Mount (STM) for enhanced resonance
• True-Pitch tuning rods with 20% additional threads per square inch for improved tuning control
• Remo drum heads

Construction

The shell is a 6-ply European Maple build, a material that delivers both warmth and clarity in the tone. The counter hoops are made from the same wood as the shell, contributing to a consistent character across the drum.

The tom is fitted with DW's advanced Suspension Tom Mount system (STM), which keeps the shell free from contact points on the mounting hardware so the resonance can ring out as naturally as possible. The lugs are dual-turret style, distributing tension evenly around the head and making it easier to tune the drum cleanly across its surface.

Tuning

The True-Pitch tuning rods offer 20% additional threads per square inch compared to conventional rods, giving finer tuning control and more stable tuning over time.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a mounted tom with classic looks but modern engineering underneath, offering a broad tonal range that works in most musical contexts.
