Construction and Sound

The 7-ply European Maple shell gives this bass drum its characteristic punchy attack with warmth in the low end, while the matching European Maple counter hoops help tie the resonance together. The vintage-style, low-mass claw hooks reduce tension on the shell, preserving resonance, while the dual-turret lugs give the drum a modern look alongside its classic vibe.

Tuning

DW's True-Pitch tuning rods feature 20% additional threads per square inch compared to conventional tension rods, giving finer adjustment steps and enhanced tuning control. The drum ships fitted with Remo drum heads.
