The PDP Concept Series Aluminum snare drum features a rolled and double-beaded 1.2mm aluminum shell, sized 6.5x14 inches. The thinner shell delivers a lower tone with dry resonance, offering a round attack similar to stainless steel but with noticeably more dryness in the sound.

Shell and Tone

The thin, rolled and double-beaded 1.2mm aluminum shell is designed to lower the fundamental tone compared to thicker metal shells. Aluminum provides a round attack and musical overtones, but with a much drier resonance than a comparable stainless steel shell. The brushed exterior gives the drum a satin finish that pairs with the chrome hardware.

Hardware

The drum is fitted with high-end DW appointments: chrome-plated dual-turret lugs, a MAG Throw-Off strainer, and True-Pitch Tuning Rods for stable, precise tuning. Heads are supplied by Remo.
