PDP Concept 6.5x14" - Black Wax

Product Description

The PDP Concept Black Wax Snare is a 6.5x14" snare drum with a 10-ply European Maple shell and a hand-applied, wax-based sealer that gives it a dark, smooth, matte finish. The shell produces mid-range pitch with full attack and warm tone, while the wax sealant shows off the natural beauty of the maple grain.

• 10-ply European Maple shell
• Hand-applied, wax-based sealer with matte finish
• PDP dual-turret lugs
• DW's MAG throw-off
• True Pitch tension rods for precise, stable tuning
• Fully-chromed snare wires with carbon steel coils and brass end plates
• Remo drumheads, ready to play right out of the box

Sound and Construction

The 10-ply maple shell delivers a mid-range pitch with full attack and a warm overall tone. The hand-applied, wax-based sealer gives the shell a dark, smooth, matte finish that highlights the maple grain rather than covering it under a thick lacquer.

Hardware and Tuning

PDP's dual-turret lugs work alongside DW's MAG throw-off and True Pitch tension rods for precise, stable tuning. The snare wires are fully chromed, built with carbon steel coils and brass end plates. World-class Remo heads make this snare ready to play right out of the box.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a snare with a warm, mid-range tone and full attack, and prefer a subtle, hand-applied wax finish over a glossy lacquer look.
