PDP 20-Ply LTD Maple/Walnut Snare 8x14" - Natural Satin

Product Description

The PDP Limited Edition Maple/Walnut is an 8x14" snare drum built on an ultra-thick, 20-ply hybrid shell of maple and walnut. The construction produces a higher pitch and stronger projection, with a fat, throaty sound and a pronounced attack.

Construction

The shell is made up of 20 plies in total: a core of 16 plies of European maple, with two plies of walnut on the inside and two plies of walnut on the outside. This extra-thick build is designed to raise the pitch and improve projection. The drum features PDP's distinct dual-turret lugs and is fitted with a DW MAG throw-off along with True Pitch tension rods for stable, precise tuning.

Heads and finish

The snare ships with Remo drum heads and a Natural Satin Finish that shows off the wood grain.

Sizes in the series

The Maple/Walnut series is available in several dimensions: 5.5x14", 6.5x14", 7x13" and 8x14" (this listing). All sizes deliver the same fat, throaty sound with a pronounced attack.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a snare with extra punch and pitch, thanks to the unusually thick hybrid shell.
