Meinl Percussion Pickup Cajon Artisan Edition, Soleå Line 11 1/4"x19"x11 3/4"

Product Description

Pickup cajon from Meinl's Artisan Edition, Soleå Line, built from 9-ply Baltic Birch with a built-in piezo pickup. Two groupings of four pre-tuned metal micro-coiled cajon strings give a distinct, snare-like character, while a bass reflex system enhances the low-end for a deeper bass sound.

The strings are hand-wound in the style of master cajon builder José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz, arranged as two sets of four spanning the inside of the playing surface. The resonating body is 9-ply, 12mm thick Baltic Birch (Betula Pendula), developing the sound into a full, punchy tone that projects with clarity and warmth. Made in Spain.

Playing Comfort

Rounded corners and thumb notches on the top of the front plate and resonating body optimize playing comfort and sound. The front plate is ergonomically rounded with a convex contact surface, and the cajon rests on specially formulated soft rubber feet. The resonating body features an elegant heat-branded design.

Amplification

Inside the cajon is a piezo pickup with tone and volume control mounted on the outside. A quarter inch (1/4") cable port lets you send your signal through any amp or PA system when more volume is needed.
