The NUX DM-8 is a complete electronic drum kit with all mesh heads, giving drummers an authentic acoustic-like feel and realistic dynamic response. The nine-piece kit includes a sturdy rack system and a feature-packed sound module for practising, jamming and recording.

An Expressive Hi-Hat

The hi-hat is mounted on its own hat stand rather than a fixed pad, providing a more realistic feel. Mounted onto a motion sensor unit, it can be easily adjusted to your playing style, including Open, Closed and Half Open hats.

A 12" Independent Snare Drum

The DM-8 snare pad authentically emulates a real acoustic snare with its rim and shell design. The triple zone enables convincing rim shots and cross sticks, adapting to rock, funk, latin and more, with cross stick working especially well for ballads or bossa nova. The latest three-point trigger technology makes the sound of each position on the head more balanced. A very stable independent snare stand is also included.

A New 10" Kick

The newly designed 10-inch independent kick drum can fully support a double bass pedal. The included kick pedal features a double chainstay and a thicker soleplate, giving the beater a more stable swing while the thickened baseplate keeps the pedal from moving during play.

Group Fader and Sound Module

The DM-8 sound module includes Group Faders, which assign audio levels to each individual pad, letting you build your own custom drum mixes. It comes loaded with 30 sets of high-fidelity drum kits in different styles, with intuitive editing so you can assign any sound to the rim or head of each pad.

USB Audio, MIDI and Your Own Samples

The DM-8 module also works as an audio interface, sending stereo audio and MIDI data to Mac or Windows via USB for recording in any DAW, or triggering software drum instruments live or in the studio. You can record up to 14 separate audio tracks. Your own WAV samples can be imported via a USB flash drive and assigned to any pad.

Effects, Jamming and Recording

Each pad can be shaped with EQ, compression, overdrive or reverb, and you can add master compression and/or EQ across the overall mix. A selection of built-in songs lets you jam in a variety of musical styles. Record your own performances to a USB memory stick, or upload a backing track to play along with and save the result as a WAV file to analyse the full mix afterwards. An AUX IN port lets you hard-connect a playback device for a solid mix between backing tracks and your own playing.
