Nino percussion NINO47, 1 row 8"

Product Description

The NINO47 is a wooden tambourine with a skin head, 8" in size, from NINO Percussion. Its sturdy frame holds six jingle pairs that produce a bright, shimmering sound, making it a real instrument built for children, not a toy.

• Sturdy rubberwood frame built for active play
• Six jingle pairs give a clear, shimmering sound
• Skin head adds extra playing options compared to a tambourine without a head
• Includes a wooden mallet
• Sized and weighted for small hands

Sound and Materials

The frame is made from rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.-Arg.), and the jingles are nickel/silver-plated steel, giving the tambourine its clear, shimmering tone without becoming harsh. The skin head means it can also be played with the included wooden mallet, for a softer or more rhythmic attack depending on how the child chooses to play.

Who It's For

The NINO47 is recommended from age 3 and works well as one of a child's first real instruments, whether at home or as part of music education from preschool through primary school. The NINO® Percussion range is designed in Germany specifically for children, but is built and sounds the same way as instruments made for adults, just in a smaller format and with child-friendly colors and shapes.
