Nino percussion Elements Mini Djembe 6"x10,5" - Tangerine

Product Description

The NINO Elements Mini Djembe is a small, portable djembe made from synthetic materials, built for the youngest players. Its light shell and durable synthetic head mean it can go outside, into the yard or to preschool, without the fragility of a natural skin. A real instrument in a small size, not a toy.

The shell is made from synthetic material (plastic), and the head is also synthetic plastic, which makes the drum far more resistant to moisture and rough handling than a drum with a natural head. That makes it especially suited for outdoor play, unlike many acoustic djembes that are sensitive to weather. The Tangerine finish gives it a bright, cheerful look that invites kids to play.

The size, 6" in diameter and 10.5" tall, is scaled for smaller hands and shorter players, and the manufacturer recommends it from age 3.

Real instruments for children

NINO® Percussion designs its instruments specifically for children, but these are not toys. They're built with safety, durability, and sound quality in mind, and the main difference from the adult equivalents is color and size. The series is designed in Germany and is widely used in early music education, from preschool through primary school.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to introduce rhythm and music to children from age 3, at home or in an educational setting, without worrying about a fragile natural head outdoors.
