Product Description
New Orleans EZX is a sound expansion for Toontrack's EZdrummer/Superior Drummer platform, featuring five drum kits recorded at Esplanade Studios, one of New Orleans' best-known recording hubs. The kits range from early 1900s pieces to modern-day setups and are built for traditional jazz, blues, soul and funk.
- Five drum kits split across two separate libraries: Traditional and Artist
- Instruments spanning early 1900s pieces to modern-day setups, including rare historical instruments
- A handpicked collection of traditional and rare percussion, including washboard and bottle
- Mix-ready presets for a broad range of sounds
- A dedicated MIDI library performed by Terence Higgins, unique to this product
Recording and character
The kits were recorded at Esplanade Studios, capturing the room's space and vibe along with the distinct New Orleans feel. Recording was handled by a multi-award-winning engineer/producer/mixer (Misha), with the kits sampled by a session drummer and award-winning recording artist.
Two libraries
The material is split into two separate libraries, Traditional and Artist, letting you choose between a more classic New Orleans setup and a more artist-driven selection depending on what the track calls for.
Percussion and presets
Beyond the drum kits, the library includes a handpicked collection of traditional and rare percussion, such as washboard and bottle, adding extra character to your productions. All sounds come with mix-ready presets covering a broad range, from purely acoustic to more processed tones.
MIDI library
A dedicated MIDI library, performed by Terence Higgins and unique to this product, is included, making it easy to get authentic New Orleans grooves going straight in your DAW.
Who It's For
A good choice if you produce jazz, blues, soul or roots-inspired music and want a drum sound with a distinct New Orleans character, without having to record or program the groove yourself.
