Product Description
The NE-1 Noise Eater is a small rubber isolation foot from Roland, placed under the legs of kick pad and hi-hat stands on a V-Drums kit. It dampens the impacts and vibrations that would otherwise travel through the floor as you play, making it especially useful if you live in an apartment or multi-storey building. According to Roland’s own testing, the rubber dampening structure reduces disturbing noise transmission by around 75%.
Electronic drums are quiet to play in themselves – it’s the physical pedal movement against the floor that creates the low thuds and vibrations heard in the room below. The NE-1 addresses this by sitting under each leg of the kick pad and hi-hat stand, breaking the direct contact between stand and floor.
Designed to Pair with the NE-10
The NE-1 is designed to be used together with Roland’s NE-10 Noise Eater (sold separately), an isolation plate made for the bass drum pedal and hi-hat control pedal. The NE-10 uses multiple dome-shaped rubber dampers and has a low-profile, compact design that doesn’t affect playing feel. Used together, NE-1 and NE-10 give you a simple, complete system for playing your V-Drums with minimal disturbance to those around you, at any time of day.
