ProMark Multi-Percussion Nick Petrella
Product Description
The NP318R is a multi-percussion mallet from ProMark, a signature model designed by Nick Petrella. With a soft felt head and a metal collar on a light-weight hickory handle, it covers a wide range of instruments, from keyboard percussion to cymbals, timpani, triangle and crotales.
The mallet was designed by Nick Petrella, an accomplished performer, teacher and clinician, to facilitate the quick changes common in contemporary multiple-percussion writing, in both concert and marching genres. One mallet covering several instruments saves valuable time when the score demands a switch mid-piece.
Construction
The handle is light-weight hickory. The head is parachute-wrapped, delivering the right amount of articulation on many non-pitched instruments while eliminating the "slap" often associated with other types of covers. The metal sleeve above the head adds weight for a full tone and also works as an excellent alternative to a triangle beater, while the metal collar makes it well suited to triangle and crotales.
Manufacturing
All ProMark drumsticks and mallets are designed, engineered and manufactured in the USA, at the company's facility in Texas, to the industry's most stringent quality controls.
