Modern Gospel Grooves

Product Description

Modern Gospel Grooves is a drum MIDI pack from Toontrack, performed by gospel drummer Calvin Rodgers. It contains more than 350 individually played grooves and fills inspired by modern gospel, R&B and soul, with grace in every ghost note and feel in every beat.

Having recorded and toured with the likes of Aretha Franklin, The Isley Brothers, Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp, Calvin Rodgers is a powerhouse on the gospel scene. With this pack he picks up where his first gospel-inspired pack left off. While that one covered anything from the traditional to the more modern, this time he zeroes in completely on the diverse, multifaceted sound of gospel today.

Grooves for every feel

In a genre that thrives on rhythm, the importance of the groove can't be overstated. Expect anything from the basic, soulful and pocket-like to the fusion-tinged and extravagant, all flawlessly performed by one of today's top drummers.

Who It's For

For producers and programmers working in gospel, R&B or soul who want authentic, human-feeling drum parts instead of quantized loops. Requires a Toontrack product with MIDI support.
